Vecna Robotics’ new autonomous counterbalanced fork truck is poised to automate entire workflow processes, helping distribution, warehousing and manufacturing organizations improve efficiencies and throughput.
The first in the company’s Silverback Series, the autonomous mobile robot (AMR) has a vertical lift of up to 72.” It is designed to move a wide range of payloads and pallet types, lift inventory to and from equipment, and seamlessly work alongside other materials handling vehicles and human workers for improved productivity, according to a news release.
The fully integrated solution features dynamic obstacle avoidance to easily and safety navigate warehouses and is compliant with industry regulations.
The fork truck supports pallets of different sizes and weights, such as empty, partial, full, irregular, and double-stacked, with and without bottom boards. It can move pallets floor-to-floor, including to staging locations within aisles, and hands off pallets to and from material handling equipment like conveyors, carts and wrappers. The solution leverages the company’s orchestration engine Pivotal, which analyzes an organization’s operations and adjusts processes as needed. Pivotal shares information across people, robots and systems, and integrates with existing warehouse management solutions.
