The university is leading the 1000-MAD project that sees a Maserati MC20 Cielo retrofitted with “robo-driver” technology that will travel the entire 1000 Miglia route in June with a human co-driver in preparation for the more ambitious goal of driving the entire 2024 race in autonomous mode.
