Celebrating its 55th anniversary at CES 2023, Italdesign unveiled the Climb-E, for which the design house was responsible for horizontal mobility, partners Schindler for vertical mobility and Politecnico di Torino for architectural integration, and the mobility concept featuring Easyrain’s safety-system technologies.

Among the supplier’s big show news was the world premiere of next generation Level 4 autonomous shuttle and a new partnership with Beep on autonomous transport systems for customers in the U.S. and a new multi-domain version of ZF ProAI high-performance computer.

The headliners from the GPU/AI software supplier are that Foxconn will manufacture Drive Orin computers for the auto market and integrate the Drive Hyperion sensor architecture for its EV fleets, while Mercedes will design next-gen factories with Omniverse.

CES Brief: The startup focused on vision perception for autonomous driving platforms will introduce at CES 2023 what it says is the industry’s highest performing compute platform for autonomous mobility, pitching 1000-TOPS processing at the vehicle’s edge.

The ZF ProConnect platform securely connects vehicles with cloud and infrastructure with integration of leading-edge positioning solutions from Hexagon, which is demonstrating the high-precision satellite navigation for automated driving in a demo car at CES 2023.

Targeted for production by 2025, the Kibb represents a product expansion for the Swedish maker of electric two-wheelers, with the semi-autonomous four-wheeler designed to handle light agricultural tasks autonomously with minimal impact to delicate ecosystems.
