Using Helixx’s universal manufacturing architecture and Conigital’s driverless technology suite, the collaboration aims to streamline electric autonomous vehicle development to reduce market-entry barriers for new OEMs.

The auto supplier’s new mobility efforts get a boost from a proof-of-concept collaboration with the fast-growing chain that will include multiple last-mile delivery platform options, adding to its experience from other autonomous delivery robot projects with Brooklyn Pizza and Cartken.

Autonomous freight corridors planned between Dallas-Fort Worth, El Paso and Houston.

InnovizOne sensors are being used for Loxo’s fleet through 2024 in what is said to be the first commercial application of an autonomous last-mile delivery vehicle in Switzerland and presumably in all of Europe.

Later this year, autonomous Waymo vehicles will be available via Uber apps in Phoenix.

The new collaboration will help Oxbotica simulate and test its autonomous vehicle operating system.

The autonomous mover from the new Benteler vehicle brand, which had its world premiere at CES 2023, combines sustainability, inclusion, comfort, and safety with help from Pininfarina, Mobileye, Cognizant Mobility, and Beep, with a U.S. production start planned for the end of 2025. 

The University of Tulsa is the latest campus to offer robot delivery service, adding to a Grubhub partnership announced in October for the pioneer that “invented the delivery robot in 2014.”

The startup is using its Ottobot autonomous robots with Pittsburgh International Airport’s xBridge innovation unit for a contactless delivery robot pilot project for staff and passengers and on first-mile supply chain automation with Posten Norge for the future of the logistics delivery.

The 10-year partnership will begin deliveries this fall in Mountain View, California, and Houston, Texas. The companies plan to later expand the service to the greater Bay Area.
